Brief Profile

Dr. Lokesh Garg is a pioneer in the field of Orthopaedic Oncology & one of the very few Ortho Onco Surgeon in India and has been involved in more than 2000 Bone & Soft Tissue Cancer surgeries. He developed an interest in Musculoskeletal Onco Surgery during his residency at the prestigious Central Institute of Orthopaedics, VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital. He continued to follow his passion in his Senior Residency from the same institute during which he worked in the various units of the Institute. He secured All India Rank 1 to pursue his dream of working as an Ortho Onco Fellow at RGCIRC, Delhi. Dr Garg has a keen interest in the biological reconstruction and 3D printing & navigation-assisted Onco Surgery.

He routinely performs Limb preserving procedures like curettage, resection & endoprosthesis, internal hemipelvectomies, total bone replacement, reimplantation of sterilized bone & complex reconstructions using biological & mechanical modalities like mega prosthesis, spacers, 3D customized implant etc. He is a brilliant academician with many publications in national and international peer-reviewed scientific journals. He has authored and co-authored various chapters in Oncology Textbooks.
