Relieving A Headache Is In Your Hands

A throbbing headache can hit you anywhere without a prior warning. As a result, you may have to pull out of an urgent meeting or your precious family time may get wreaked. However, why to suffer from the menacing headache when you have the solution in your own hands?

Cannot believe it? Well, according to medical experts, stimulating certain pressure points can trigger psychological responses such as release of endorphins (body’s natural painkillers). It also releases feel-good neurotransmitters dopamine and serotonin which results in relieving of the headache or other body aches.

Drilling Bamboo

Drilling bamboo points are located between your eyebrows just where it meets your nose bridge. It is one of the most recommended pressure points by experts to get rid of headaches caused by eyestrain and sinus pain or pressure. Simply follow the below procedure to relieve headache using this trick:

  • Apply firm pressure at drilling bamboo points using both of your index fingers.
  • Hold it for 10 seconds.
  • Release and repeat.

Union Valley

Union Valley is located on the web between your index finger and thumb, you should follow the below-mentioned procedure to calm headaches through this method:

  • Hold union valley area from both sides of the hand with index finger and thumb of your opposite hand firmly, make sure it does not get painful and hold it for 10 seconds.
  • Next, you should make small circles on the same area with your thumb in one direction and then in other, for 10 seconds each.
  • For best results, repeat the same process on union valley point of your opposite hand.

Third Eye

Not sure where is your third eye? You can find it between your eyebrows just where nose-bridge meets your forehead. Pressuring this point relieves headaches caused by sinus or eyestrain. To use this technique, all you have to do is:

  • Apply firm pressure on your third eye using index finger for one minute.

Gates of Consciousness

You may have neck pain at times which can turn into a headache. How can you curb that headache? The answer is by simply stimulating the gates of consciousness which are located at the base of your skull between the two vertical neck muscles. Read the below process to calm a headache successfully using gates of consciousness method:

  • Put your middle and index fingers of both hands on these pressure points.
  • For 10 seconds, press firmly upward on both sides at once.
  • Release and repeat

Shoulder well

Stiffness in neck or shoulders, neck pain and headaches are all relievable through a single method. For that, you have to pressurize the shoulder well located at your shoulders’ edges, halfway between your shoulder points and base of your neck. To use these pressure points in the best way:

  1. Apply firm circular pressure to shoulder well points with the thumb of one side for one minute.
  2. After that, do the same on opposite side.

Hopefully, a headache or any other body ache will not trouble you, however, if it does, then remember you have the key to making your life ache-free in your hands.
