Dental Problems: How To Care Your Teeth

Nowadays, Children prefer chocolates, cakes, candies, bread, and soda and insist for them. Parents fulfill all their requirements. Some trace amount of food stays on your teeth that cause a toothache, cavity, and gum disease. After all, children get cavity what ruin their teeth. The cavity can affect both outer and inner coating layer.

You mostly like to have chilled food such as ice creams, cold drink in the summer and hot food in winter. You have to the mixture of hot and cold food like pizza and cold drinks that cause sensitivity. You should gap between hot and cold food. Either your foods should be hot or cold .

You need your teeth for many activities like bite, chewing, speaking and even smiling. Good teeth, raise your beauty. Without teeth, How will you look? Just imagine!!

Dental problem is becoming a common problem. Sometimes, dental problems occur because of our careless or natural. Cavity, Gum problems, Toothache, Sensitivity, and tooth decay are because of your carelessness. The teeth play an important role in chewing, speech, and even raise the beauty of your smiling.

What Is Tooth Decay?

Your teeth are hardest substances, which are made of bone like material with nerves and blood vessels inside. The bacteria, acid, food debris, and your saliva combine to form plaque, which clings to your teeth and creating holes (cavity) which cause tooth decay.

Parts of Teeth

Enamel: Enamel is made of calcium phosphate, a hard mineral. It’s white outer part of the tooth and keep safe from tooth disease.

Dentine: Dentine is a layer underlying the enamel, made of living cells, which secrete a hard mineral substance.

Pulp: Pulp is softer, the inner structure of teeth where blood vessels and nerves run through the pulp.

Cementum: Cementum, layer bind the roots of the teeth firmly to the gums and jawbone.

Periodontal ligament: It is a tissue that helps the teeth tightly against the jaw.

Types of Dental Problem

There are several types of dental problems. Let’s discuss some problems.

Toothache:

Toothache is a pain which bothers you. sometimes, You feel fever and irritation. If you notice swelling or pus around the tooth, that could be a sign of a serious problem. Go to your Dental Clinic as soon as possible.

Cavities:

Some bacteria, called plaque, build up on your teeth, slowly destroying your enamel layer. The little hole damages your all teeth. Ask your dentist to use a sealant.

Stained Teeth:

Some food, medication, tobacco and drink can discolor your teeth. You have an option for whitening them. Your dentist can be whitening your teeth. The simplest choice, whitening toothpaste only remove surface stains.

Impacted Tooth:

It usually happens when a tooth is stuck against another tooth, bone or soft tissue. An adult tooth doesn’t come in properly is impacted and bothering you. A dentist may recommend to remove it.

Sensitivity:

Sensitivity, cold or hot food make you wince, is a problem. Sensitivity in your teeth can happen for several reasons, including:

  • Fractured teeth
  • Worn fillings
  • Tooth decay
  • Gum disease
  • Exposed tooth root

Consult your doctor about oral hygiene. A proper oral hygiene is a key to preventing sensitive tooth pain.

Gum Problems:

The first stage have no warning sign of gum disease is called gingivitis. Gingivitis may lead to a serious problem, destructive form of gum disease called periodontists. This condition can cause bone loss that can make it harder to chew and even speak. Go to your doctor for cleansing.

Hyperdontia:

Almost people have 32 adult teeth. But some people have extra teeth, which called hyperdontia. It can form of tumor. The treatment of extra teeth removed by orthodontics.

Crooked Teeth:

Crooked teeth doesn’t make for a prettier smile and mouth doesn’t proper shut. Orthodontists may use braces(metal or trays) for straightening.

Prevention Of Tooth Decay

Diseases cling us because of your carelessness. You can control over several disease by making good habits. Here are some ways to control a dental disease.

  • Brush twice daily in a day.
  • Put salt in lukewarm water and gargle.
  • Don’t eat junk food and tobacco.
  • Clean your teeth with dental floss.
  • Visit your dentist regularly.
  • Eat healthy & balanced diet.
  • Don’t eat food/drink much more hot or cold.

Your teeth help to increase the taste of your food. When you take one bite of food, you say, yummy!!. So if your teeth are strong and problem free, you can enjoy your food otherwise, you feel pain. Don’t forget to brush twice a day. You are responsible if your teeth decay. Think before you eat. Take care your teeth!!!
